Happy ending: Scania R500 from the Polish fundraiser has reached Iran

Many people probably wonder if Fardin Kazemi finally arrived in Iran with his new truck.

Iranian driver with his 2013 Scania R500 bought from a Polish online fundraiser set off to Iran on 23 January. He drove through Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey.

He had some problems on the way, as driving through European Union CEMT permit was requested. Driving on Polish registration plates also raised concearns with Turkish customs service. Ultimately all obstacles were overcome and on 7 February the gray-blue truck entered Iran.

Fardin’s son waited at the border so he could accompany his father on the last stretch leading home.

The organizers of the fundraiser are now to focus on renovating International and returning it to Fardin. Iranian driver himself will also be seen in Poland or regular basis, as he has secured permanent orders for Polish-Iranian transport.
