The picture shown has been circulating in German media. The photo was published by the police and shows a truck that didn’t make it at the roundabout.
The vehicle ended up on the island and also caught on to a street lamp.
As it turned out, MAN TGX with a semi-trailer belongs to a Polish transport company. Behind the wheel sat a 33-year-old Pole who had just gained his licence and got his first job. At the roundabout, he apparently forgot about the semi-trailer, and we can see the result of it on the picture.
This happened in the morning on 4th June in Venningen on the German-French border. To pick up a truck from a roundabout, it was necessary to call a heavy tug roadside assistance. Road L542 was temporarily blocked.
