Firefighters showed one truck hitting the back of another in a video in Germany.

German emergency services have published the above film as a warning. It makes us perfectly aware of how unexpected conditions can lead to such a serious accident. The consequences of the incident were also clearly shown, in the form of a powerful explosion and a full review of cabin damage.

The main vehicle in the recording is a yellow DAF XF with a trailer. For the first few seconds, the surroundings did not indicate that an extremely strong collision could suddenly occur. In the left and middle lane the traffic was smooth and calm, and the cars were traveling at high speed. The problem, however, is that the right hand lane was blocked by standing trucks. It is into one of them that the accelerated truck drives into.

The event in question took place at the beginning of November on the German A2 motorway near Magdeburg. Due to the aforementioned explosion and complete crushing of the cabin, everyone was expecting a fatality. And yet, surprisingly, the DAF driver survived and was transported to the hospital.

There is also the question of the legality of publishing the film. Does this mean that in Germany, you can use video recorders? The fire brigade, which published the camera recording, did not explicitly respond to this. However, the fact is that since last year, recordings from video recorders have been recognized in German courts as legal evidence. What’s worse, the mere use of a drill recorder is a prohibited act.

Does it mean that the use of video recorders is “nearly legal” in Germany?
