The policeman jumped on the tractor to stop it - the driver had more than three per mille

During the patrol, policemen from Trzeszczany in Poland noticed a tractor that did not have a registration plate. When they wanted to stop him, the tractor driver made an attempt to escape.

The policemen noticed a farm tractor leaving the side road, which did not have a registration plate. Therefore they decided to stop the vehicle and inspect it. At the sight of the police car, the driver stopped and then began to back up. In order to avoid a collision with the tractor, the officers were forced to quickly reverse the police car. Then the driver started to run away ignoring the signals.

Then one of the officers jumped out of the police car and jumped on the departing tractor to force the driver to stop. The policeman disengaged the gear, causing the vehicle to stop. As it turned out, the 29-year-old had almost 3.0 blood alcohol level. In addition he had a court ordered driving ban until 2022. It also turned out that the tractor did not have a technical inspection and a third party liability insurance policy.

The man will be charged with drink driving and for violating the court driving ban. He can be sentenced with up to five years imprisonment.
