In Germany in the small town Ense near Dortmund, the president of Höinger SV football club noticed a group of Lithuanian trucks parked at the premises of the logistics company NTG Logistics just before Christmas.
As it turned out, twelve drivers were supposed to spend the holiday season in their cabs and stay there until 6th January. The club president felt sorry for them and therefore organized a more comfortable accommodation for them. He made guest rooms available in the club building free of charge. He also allowed the tractors to be parked under the building, and even provided a crate of beer and barbecue supplies.

A controversial side to this situation: If the drivers were to spend two weeks in the cabins without performing any transport tasks at that time, the carrier should ensure adequate facilities.
